2024 Re-Election Campaign – Mayor Paulette Guajardo
Just like the state itself, elections in Texas are big—especially in Corpus Christi, the 8th largest city in the state. I was brought on to lead every aspect of the 2024 re-election media campaign for Mayor Paulette Guajardo, this was a high-pressure, high-visibility race. With rapid development reshaping the city and real progress finally taking root, the creative had to meet the moment. The full visual strategy included cinematic broadcast ads, endorsement videos, citywide billboards, digital rollouts, live event coverage, and targeted attack ads against a strong challenger—some of which included bilingual messaging to reflect the city’s audience. The election was fiercely competitive, and the creative had to cut through the noise. In a city where change was finally becoming visible—not just promised—my role was to make sure voters could see it, feel it, and believe in it. And most importantly, we won!
“Our team partnership with Alex was a huge part of this victory.”

🏁 Campaign Highlights
-
A strong lead in the general election set the tone—but when the runoff called for it, we pivoted. The creative stayed consistent where it mattered and adjusted where it counted, holding clarity through the pressure. We finished strong—and we won.
-
Content was built to move across platforms—TV, social, digital, and print—each format adapted without losing message discipline or visual consistency.
-
With over 60% of the city’s population Hispanic and nearly one-third of households speaking Spanish at home, Corpus Christi called for a bilingual approach. Spanish-language media was built in from the start—used strategically to reach deeper into key communities and reflect the city’s real voter makeup.
-
TV spots, billboards, digital rollouts, and attack ads—built to keep pace with the speed of a live campaign. Every asset served a purpose, every piece moved the message forward.
